What happens at my session?

You are probably going to be nervous right? For sure. Boudoir sessions are very intimate, so let me walk you through the process and put your mind at ease.

First things first:
During your session:

Before you show up for your session, we do a bit of prep work. You decide on outfits and style that best suits you, and you send me pictures (or share a pinterest board!) of the style you like.

This way we know if we are going dark and moody, light and romantic, tastefully nude, or all of the above!

There are also a few grooming notes to keep in mind in the weeks before your session.

1) Waxing.

If you decide to wax, be sure to do this about 5-7 days before your session, that way any redness or bumps have time to smooth.

2) Tanning.

If you do decide to tan before your session, just be sure not to leave any really harsh tan lines. These can take a lot of time to edit out. I also DO NOT recommend spray tanning as it shows up very orange in camera.

3) Nails.

Hands are a big part of your session and a fresh manicure can add a lot to your photos!

You're all packed up with your outfits (see "what to wear") and you're ready to head out the door to your session. Here's what you should know about the day of.

On the day of your session, try to wear loose fitting clothing to the studio. Tight fitting items, such as sports bras, can leave marks in the skin that take time to fade or to edit out.

Once you arrive, we will unpack your outfits and I will begin to map out your session, while you start hair and makeup. There will be snacks, coffee mimosas (always!) and water, so don't be shy! Make yourself completely at home! I work with amazing hair and makeup artist that have you done in one hour, and ready to start shooting!

I will pick backgrounds for your outfits based on the style of shoot you are wanting. I will guide you through poses in a relaxed and natural way that will make you feel confident and beautiful!

Shooting can last up to an hour and a half, depending on looks and outfits.

I've had my session, what happens now?

After your session, I will retouch your photos and upload them to your personal online gallery. I will email you the gallery, which will be password protected, and you can favorite the images you would like for your album. The number of images will depend on your album, but you can always upgrade to a larger album. After your album comes in, I can either mail it to you or we can meet in person.
